How To Get An Aftermarket Motorcycle Shocks Adjustment Done

This part of the vehicle is responsible in determining how the suspension setup is compressed. It plays a great role on how hard or soft the suspension gets whenever it will be used. Oftentimes, drivers will customize these parts to help meet their preferences.

There are people who feel more comfortable if their compression feels softer whenever they ride their vehicles while there are those who prefer the opposite. Because of this, people are advised to make sure that they will assess what their preferences are before they carry out any adjustments.

You must first test the current compression condition of the vehicle before you carry out any motorcycle shocks properly adjustment. One good way of getting this done is through driving it around, even at such a short distance. This way, you can gauge how its compression feels.

Once you have finally assessed your preference, you need to find a flat and stable surface that you can place the vehicle in. You must find a center stand to properly position the vehicle in and get it ready for the kind of task that you are about to perform.

Find where the compressor valve is located in the vehicle. You can use a flathead screwdriver to make the whole process a lot easier. In addition, remember the adjustments directions that you must do. For instance, clockwise means hardening the compressions and vice versa.

After you are done adjusting the aftermarket motorcycle shocks, make sure that you test how the vehicle feels again. You may need to redo the whole process until such time as you have finally achieved the right feel when compressing your suspensions.
