The Reason Why The Yamaha VMAX Motorcycle Is The Best Muscle Bike Out There

By Ricky Hindricks

Do you delight in racing motorcycles or do you merely enjoy the buzz of taking a fast motorcycle out for a drive? Primarily announced in 1985, the Yamaha VMAX is accepted as one of the fastest motorcycles available on the market. This specific bike is not for newcomers but for the more experienced motorcyclists who enjoy fast exciting rides. This unique bike is a consistent great seller and the name VMAX is associated with speed.

Its most spectacular attribute is the V-Boost which is capable of speeds as much as 800 RMP. 4 individual downshaft carburetors look after the cylinders and continue to be separated by butterfly valves. Other hot rod motorbikes do not come anywhere approaching the same horsepower as the V-Boost. The VMAX also draws speedy and smooth acceleration direct from the V-Boost. The original VMAX possessed a V4 1200 CC powerplant, 145 HP, and V-Boost and was solely available in the United States. Yamaha presented a 104 HP slower type to European and French outlet in 1986. The European models sadly lacked the formidable V-Boost. The motorcycle was first revealed in Japan in 1990 with the slight variation of an integrated digital electronic ignition.

Since they were implementing stricter restrictions on noise in Europe changes had to be made to the European model. So in 1996 there was a change to a black exhaust system by Yamaha, which unfortunately wasn't very well received by bike owners, so the chrome design was back in 1998. For a lot of bike riders, the VMAX is much more powerful than what they want, but for the thousands of members of the VMAX Owners Association, they are most proud of their bikes. The Association schedules rallies along with motorcycle events for their many members. The bike has additionally found its way into drag racing as well, because the VMAX with its speed gives many of the competitors a greater chance of winning. Modified VMAX motorcycles have been known to hit speeds of more than 200 MPH in a quarter mile at major competitions.

The Yamaha VMAX has persistently been a top motorcycle preference since it broke into the market in 1985. Its black and chrome color affords the bike a robust and almost muscular feel. A number of people consider this to be a rather monotonous color scheme to be its own fault. Some folks have added personal variations to make their bike special. They have opted to incorporate such items as different mirrors, decals, and many other exclusive features Many riders have also replaced the factory supplied seat for a more comfortable one. It's relatively easy to make these improvements since the bike's significant attraction is its power.

The Yamaha VMAX is the top muscle bike worldwide for over 20 years. Although absolutely not a bike for a beginner, it has consistently been a top choice in appearance and performance.
