Motorcycle Product Pick: The H-D and Indian Wars

By Darnell Austria

Harley Davidson and Indian's war is one of the best of all time. These brands fought on the race track, on World Wars, in dealership shows, and on the road from the time Harley Davidson was able to build a fight in the first 10 years of the 20th century all the way to Indian's demise around the mid-1950s. The Harley and Indian Wars by Allan Girdler is a superb accessory for any bike enthusiast's archive as it covers this popular war from start to finish.

I think that the images and notes on them would be the most powerful parts of the book. Each and every sheet is packed with superb, original images in the past and stunning color illustrations or photos of the bikes in their renewed appearance. Every aspect of this infamous war is covered in a well-written approach that smoothly walks you throughout the years. Girdler presents delightful clues about what was going on behind the curtain at their company head office in both Springfield and Milwaukee, as well as main points happening in the public eye.

Something I think the book lacks is more of the first rivalry stuff. It certainly covers it, but not to the magnitude I was expecting. Girdler's first chapter genuinely does provide an excellent account of both bike's development and how it came into being.

I realized another thing, although I could be absolutely wrong here, yet it seems as though the writer favors Indian a bit. When you have the book, let me know me if you get a similar impression.

Before you head out, just a helpful reminder from a rider to a fellow rider. When fitting accessories, parts or upgrades such as Z bars, Harley grips, mirrors, pipes, and others, make sure you get the best stuff done. Grab superior quality pieces and then get them set up by professional or authorized Harley Davidson specialists. Our motorcycles do not come cheap and I guess you do not want cheap pieces in it. This also falls straight into a person's safety. Bargain products frequently fail easily while high-quality items are designed to undergo the strain the whole motorcycle persists on very long trips.

Irrespective of whether you opt for an Indian or an H-D, in the end, it's still going to be you and your motorcycle on that road journey! So, drive risk-free and have a fulfilled ride!
