Biker Analysis: The Victory Judge Today

By Darnell Austria

There are still titles that solicit profound feelings of Americana inside the hearts and minds in men just as much as The Judge. Experience the tingle inside your spine and the velocity of your heart while you mention the words aloud. One can virtually look at the brilliant orange Pontiac GTO Judge roaring across the street, the whole 400 cubic inches of ram air engine trying to rip the entire body to shreds. Well, I'm talking about the 2nd, and better known, era of The Judge, combined with my personal favorite edition.

The time Victory Motorcycles unveiled the newest incarnation of The Judge. Those feelings from the classic muscle car brought back previously might as well stay because the big Freedom V-twin along with those mag wheels and fat Dunlop lettering around it are considered the essence of American strength. Though a Hurst shifter is not under the choice list, Victory's 6-speed transmission with helicut gears and positive neutral finder lets the driver shred tires from stop light to stop light and even stroll comfortably over the freeway.

The styles on The Judge are considered the clean and pure Victory design and style that its followers and owners have come to absolutely love, matched up using the cruiser motorcycle appeal that distinguishes it from its much larger touring sibling. Yet another change from the classic muscle cars of yesteryear is the absence of chrome, Victory opting to consider the more contemporary black-out finish that is very popular nowadays. The muffler, triple trees, motor engine, headlight and much more receive the touch. This tells me that most of the Judges will probably be obtained in the fancy, unique Suede Nuclear Sunset, but Gloss Black and Sunset Red Judges are also available. The bodywork and drag bars are completely new for The Judge, as well as the rear lights, fenders, and EFI covers.

This motorcycle wasn't merely built as an all-out road brawler; the designers and planners also came out on top in building a motorbike that has the power to suit a fresh segment of driver that Victory has not really touched on. The mid mount controls tend to be the farthest ever on a Victory, and the 25.9" saddle height makes the motorbike great for, and therefore I quote, "riders with modest in seams." Even for well-endowed riders, the mix of a decreased center of gravity and a cool driving position can make for quite the electrifying experience. Victory's normal high grade suspensions blended with semi-floating braking system rotors also provide themselves to some great drive. By having a 4.5-gallon gas tank, don't be concerned hopping from gas station to gas station.
