Motorcycle Gear Review Kick It: Harley Davidson Boot

By Darnell Austria

It depends on how you see it, however when I am on a road trip with my bike, I rely more on my riding shoes than almost any bike gear. I want ease and comfort, off and on the bike.

I'd like my riding footwear to be sturdy as much as necessary to undertake good conditions and bad. They should also offer above-ankle safeguard. I expect them not to ever slip on the brakes or the ground. It is also important that they are cool.

I cruise lots of stretches on numerous bikes, so the very last thing I want to do is getting unfocused by my boots. Understanding how important biking boots are, I make sure to have mine in good condition, however I do not baby them. I've had good service with Harley-Davidson footwear and generally get 2 or 3 years of really hard use from them.

I like the feel of the Laramie boots from Harley Footwear. They've got a thicker rubber sole with lots of traction on a oily or wet street surface, a decent appearance, and are also high enough to cover my ankles. I appreciate the zipper along the side of each boot which makes it simple to pull them out, and the laces let me create the fit as snug or as loose as I like.

Other boots that I examined never make it a hundred miles before they retire, but these boots have already survived a lot more miles than that. I have found them comfortable all day long, off and on the motorcycle, and they are not even fully tattered yet. I'll miss my aged pair, though I believe I'm going to love these brand new H-D Laramie pair a lot.

Before you head out, just a friendly reminder from a biker to a fellow biker. When fitting accessories, parts or upgrades just like z bars, Harley grips, fenders, mufflers, among others, get the best stuff done. Buy high-quality pieces and then get them fitted by expert or licensed Harley specialists. Our motorbikes never come cheap and I guess you don't prefer cheap pieces on it. And this also falls into one's safety. Bargain products typically fail quickly whereas top notch items are designed to deal with the strain the whole motorcycle persists on very long travels. So, drive safely and also have a completely happy ride!
